If you know Aotearoa (New Zealand) you will love the Marlborough Sounds with its sunken valleys and majestic scenery. Also there are the Islands. D'Urville Island (Rangitoto Ki Ti Tonga) lies between Tasman Bay and Cook Strait taking the prevailing winds against her long western bluffs and hills. Lush in native wildlife and surrounded by the rich clean waters of Raukawa (Cook Strait) D'Urville is the 5th largest island in Aotearoa. Sheltering within a 20,000 acre native reserve on the eastern side of D'Urville is the developing native wildlife sanctuary of Whareatea.
