Whareatea, known to the indigenous people as the Home of the Universe, presented herself as a challenge and a gift. The fulfillment of a dream. The first time we anchored in her sheltered waters we knew that we had found something special. Stepping ashore we were overwhelmed by the peace and beauty of this magical place. Immediately we accepted the responsibility of caring for our new home. Whareatea Limited was formed by us as the vehicle to care for the land and sea, and on the 20th of December 2000 purchased the property. The structure of Whareatea Limited enables us to protect the property for future generations with a 999 year perpetuity. In 2004 an existing track was cleared from the northeastern end of the property to the southwest corner of Whareatea Bay. This track will service the sections for sale and enable us to carry out our future plans this paradise.
