Kia Ora, Interested in meeting you neighbours? The Mahoerangi Environmental Education Trust is focused on the care, restoration and protection of all the native, natural environs of Whareatea initially and when funding allows assisting in the care of the surrounding native reserve. The Mahoerangi Environmental Education Trust's aims are also the driving force behind the fledgling non-profit eco-tourism experiment Te Mahoerangi which is already successful with its environmental aims and has recently halted the use of the toxin 1080 in the Nydia Bay ecosystem.Te Mahoerangi has achieved this milestone by funding pest control efforts utilizing the consistent use of skilled and equipped trappers. The reluctant sale of these pieces of paradise is to raise funds to further the aims of the Mahoerangi Environmental Education Trust. We aim to provide an example, that without greed we can live in harmony with our environment and as a consequence of the collective focus given to the care of the environment we can live in harmony with each other.
